Star Wars Episode 9: What Could Happen, What Should Happen, and What Needs to Happen

This is the first time I have ever postulated about a Star Wars movie. Sure, after Episode 1, I wondered how Lucasfilm would tell the story of how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, but that was guessing how the story we all knew would be told.

This is different. This is the future of events that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. This is Episode 9. With The Last Jedi taking Star Wars into a new and interesting direction, it is worth the effort to try to figure how JJ Abrams is going to end the Skywalker Saga.

Caveat 1: On a scale of 1 to Super Fan, I am probably a solid 7. My knowledge is based on the movies and the cartoons (Clone Wars and Rebels). I know the Extended Universe books, comics, and video games, but have not yet gotten into the New Canon books, comics, and video games. So I am using Wookiepedia often. Please correct me if I make a leap that is explained in any new media.

On to what could happen, should happen, and what needs to happen in Star Wars Episode 9.

When we left our heroes at the end of Episode 8, the Resistance sought a new home and needed new allies. As General Organa previously used old Rebellion locations to fight against the First Order…
